Be Job-like

Scripture: At this, Job got up and tore his robe and shaved his head. Then he fell to the ground in worship and said: “Naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked I will depart. The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away; may the name of the Lord be praised.” Job 1:20&21 NIV

Observation: The wealthy, God-fearing, humble man Job just lost all of his possessions and family and yet he worships and praises God.

Application: Oh to be like Job instead of his wife, “His wife said to him, ‘Are you still holding on to your integrity? Curse God and die!’” Job 2:9 NIV I want the humility and integrity of Job. That is my prayer.

Prayer: Father: help me to accept all of life’s circumstances, good and bad, and see how they are blessing in my life. I ask this in Jesus’ name. Amen

Our blog is written from our life experiences in hope of helping others know and believe there is love, forgiveness, and deliverance found in Jesus Christ. Life Scripture #2

And so it was with me, brothers and sisters. When I came to you, I did not come with eloquence or human wisdom as I proclaimed to you the testimony about God. For I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ and him crucified. I came to you in weakness with great fear and trembling. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? As it is written: “For your sake we face death all day long...we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.” No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.
