Don’t Tarry

Scripture: They called to the mountains and the rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the face of him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb! Revelation 6:16 NIV

Observation: John is shown a revelation concerning judgments leveled against men that refuse to acknowledge God’s glory.

Application: These are revelations of “end times.” The church has been raptured and the last men on earth are enduring the foretold judgments. Why would any of us today refuse the Lord after reading these passages? How can anyone believe that they could possibly escape God’s judgment? Those written about in these passages are asking the mountains to cover them with boulders to help them escape God’s wrath–how absurd! Now is the time to accept Jesus as Lord and Savior. Don’t put it off any longer!

Prayer: Father, I pray that the “fence sitters” among us decide for you. I believe that the end is near and I don’t want people to have to endure the torments written of in these passages. I pray this in Jesus’ name. Amen
