“Jesus is The Way…

Scripture: For just as through the disobedience of the one man the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the one man the many will be made righteous.  Romans 5:19 NIV

Observation: Paul teaches that sin entered the world through Adam and salvation came to all people through Christ.

Application: The disobedience of Adam is original sin.  Because of Adam “…all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”  Romans 3:23 NIV Adam’s disobedience brought sin into the world; the second “Adam,” Jesus, brought salvation to all mankind.  He said, “These things I have spoken to you, that in me you might have peace. In the world you shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.”  John 16:33 NKJ Jesus gives us reason to be cheerful, we are no longer bound by this sinful world.

Prayer: Father, thank you for giving me the answer to my sinful nature.  Thank you for giving us access to you because Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life.  Thank you for that gift. In Jesus’ name. Amen
