Even if…

Scripture: “Do you want me to release to you the king of the Jews?” asked Pilate, knowing it was out of self-interest that the chief priests had handed Jesus over to him. Mark 15:9&10 NIV

Observation: Pilate asked the mob if they want Jesus released, they did not. Even if the mob had called for Jesus’ release it would have only been a short respite. Jesus came to earth for the very purpose of being sacrificed for us.

Application: Jesus paid my admission into heaven. I don’t want to take it for granted.

Prayer: Father, thank you for Jesus.

And so it was with me, brothers and sisters. When I came to you, I did not come with eloquence or human wisdom as I proclaimed to you the testimony about God.
