God in the Stars

Scripture: For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities–his eternal power and divine nature–have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse. Romans 1:20 NIV

Observation: Paul greats the Roman believers and shares a truth about God’s creation.

Application: This passage is the foundation of an interesting, albeit controversial, class I took years ago. It was a class about the truth of God as told in the stars. I believe that it was titled “The Real Meaning of the Zodiac,” by Dr. D. James Kennedy. I know what you’re thinking–CULTISH!  Not at all. The class taught that God put within all men an innate knowledge that he exists.   Additionally, the class held that the stories of creation and salvation are told in the various star configurations and man has always seen and known that they were there, although most people just didn’t understand what they were looking at.  Enter Satan!  He used his ability to take what God meant for good and he turned it for his purposes in order to lead people astray, i.e. the worship of the zodiac as we know it today. I apologize, my quick recounting of the class didn’t do it any justice I’m sure, but it was an extremely interesting study and made me realize how God is in all of creation.  It was a study worth participating in.  Check it out.
