Be Moldable

Scripture: And he said: “I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 18:3 NIV

Observation: Jesus answers a disciple’s question about kingdom hierarchy.

Application: Hind-sight is a wonderful thing. I can read throughout scripture how these “Holy” followers of Christ repeatedly failed and had to be reminded of their place and I can arrogantly state, “I’d never do that or think that way!” Yeah, right! Just a short time earlier, these guys were fishermen and tax collectors; not the cream of society or sophistication. This is a great reminder to me that in order to be a true follower of Christ I must first be a “blank slate,” I must be moldable, like a child.

Prayer: Father, I want to reflect you, not me. I want to know you like a child wants to know their parents. I ask this in Jesus’ name. Amen
