Stay Focused

Scripture: “Come,” he said.  Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, “Lord, save me!”  Matthew 14:29,30 NIV

Observation: Peter walks on the water but sinks when he takes his eyes off of Jesus.

Application: This is a great illustration for me. When I remain focused on the Lord my daily life is a positive success. When I take my eyes off of him I fail. I pray to stay focused.

Prayer: Father, I choose to stay focused on Jesus. Help me to be successful and remain true to you. I ask this in Jesus’ name. Amen
