Cheer

Scripture: Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. 2 Corinthians 9:6,7 NIV

Observation: Paul is teaching the Corinthians about giving.

Application: In these passages Paul is speaking about giving financial support with the proper attitude to the men that minister to the Corinthian church. Paul says, “cheerfully.” Like Paul taught the Corinthians, we too should give cheerfully to those that God has placed to minister to us.

Prayer: Father, thank you for all of the blessings in my life. Thank you for providing for my needs and the needs of my family. I pray that you take the tithe and grow it. I ask this in Jesus’ name. Amen
