Jesus’ Style

Scripture: “Woe to you Pharisees, because you love the most important seats in the synagogues and greetings in the marketplaces. Luke 11:43 NIV

Observations: Jesus is speaking to a group of Pharisees.

Application: Once again scripture reminds us to not be Pharisees. These religious leaders were all puffed up and full of themselves because of the clout that their position carried. We must stay humble in the Lord because he demonstrated humility.

Prayer: Father, help me to be a humble man. A man like you when you walked this earth as our Savior. I ask this in Jesus’ name. Amen

And so it was with me, brothers and sisters. When I came to you, I did not come with eloquence or human wisdom as I proclaimed to you the testimony about God. For I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ and him crucified. I came to you in weakness with great fear and trembling. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?
