Not What We Deserve

Scripture: Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. Lamentations 3:22 NIV

Observation: In chapter 3, the author is lamenting about the suffering that Israel had endured because of their disobedience. However, in verse 22 we see that even though Israel did not deserve any compassion God is faithful to give them undeserved grace.

Application: God is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow. Even though we don’t deserve grace he gave it to us by sacrificing Jesus for our sake. What an awesome God!

Prayer: Father, thank you for giving me what I need, not what I deserve. I love you. Amen
