Hear and Understand

Scripture: Blessed is the one who reads the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it, because the time is near. Revelation 1:3 NIV

Observation: John’s opening words from the book of Revelation.

Application: I noticed when I read today that we can be blessed in two different ways be reading prophetic scripture. We are blessed simply by reading it but more importantly we are blessed by understanding what we read and acting on it. In these last days we should seriously consider what the Lord is saying to us through prophecy.

Prayer: Father, help me to read, understand, and act on your prophetic word. I ask this in Jesus’ name. Amen
