Thank You Lord

Scripture: “Woe to the shepherds who are destroying and scattering the sheep of my pasture!” declares the Lord.  Jeremiah 23:1 NIV

Observation: The Lord speaks through Jeremiah.

Application: I may be taking this passage out of context, however, I believe that it can apply it to false teachers of today. I know that God will hold those that teach to a higher standard. I believe that leaders, teachers, pastors, or any other shepherd who leads others astray by teaching or encouraging anything other than Jesus should beware.

Prayer: Father, thank you for today. My family is having a huge week; Andy and Heather are getting married, Ashley is moving to college, and Rod and Grace are traveling for the wedding. I ask in Jesus’ name that you protect and grow all of them. Thank you Lord for the godly leaders whom you have put over my far-flung family to instruct all of them in living for you. Amen
