Love Like Jesus

Scripture: 12) My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. 13) Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends. John 15:12&13 NIV

Observation: Jesus instructs his disciples to love.

Application: Passage 12 tells us what we are to do, “love each other” and how to do it, “as I have loved you.” Verse 13 explains to what extent we are to love others, “greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends.” We are to be willing to lay down our lives for others–will we? Can we love like Jesus?

Prayer: Father, I pray that I am able to love others like Jesus. Amen
