Make Satan Flee

Scripture: Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. James 4:7 NIV

Observation: In James 4 the author speaks of humbling ourselves and doing what is right in God’s sight. Any other behavior would be to sin. In verse 7 he sums up the ease with which we can live “devil-free.” We have but to submit to God’s will.

Application: It is God’s will that we live lives free from the influence of Satan. All that is required of us is submission to God and resistance of the devil. Satan will have no alternative but to leave us alone.

Prayer: Father, I give my life to your will and I rebuke Satan. Thank you for making me a victor over him. Amen
