Endure

Scripture: Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter. Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes and clever in their own sight. Woe to those who are heroes at drinking wine and champions at mixing drinks, who acquit the guilty for a bribe, but deny justice to the innocent.  Isaiah 5:20-23 NIV

Observation: Isaiah speaks of very improbable things that could never occur–but they have!

Application: Yeah, right. Once again a prophecy or a word from the bible, spoken three thousand years ago, could actually be used as a blue print for how to administer today’s P. C. society. Allow me to summarize, “hate all things good and urge all things evil and always, always, always, claim that you aren’t doing exactly what you are doing.” I believe that the steady undermining of all things decent has had to occur for end times prophecy to be fulfilled and ultimately Christ to return. Knowing that we will not enjoy “Andy Griffith Show” safety, security, and respect for authority until Christ takes us home is sad but when we preserver we win. Personally, I’m tired of seeing Christians and people of high moral beliefs being intentionally and systematically misrepresented and lied about. Today good is bad and bad is good. The criminal has more rights than the honest citizen and we celebrate sexual depravity and abhor purity and chastity. I wish it were within my power to put a stop to it, but it is not. However, I can pray and I must. I must pray to God for the strength the endure and to return quickly–that is my prayer.

Prayer: Lord, give me the strength to withstand this upside-down world. Come quickly Lord. I ask this in Jesus’ name. Amen
