Love Discipline

Scripture: He who ignores discipline despises himself, but whoever heeds correction gains understanding. Proverbs 15:32 NIV

Observation: Discipline produces understanding and wisdom.

Application: Solomon teaches us that discipline is a good thing. It produced an understanding. I believe with understanding comes wisdom. King Solomon teaches us that if we ignore discipline we hate ourselves. We can’t have hate within us and be followers of Christ too. We must shun hate because it can’t exist in a relationship with him. Shun evil, embrace correction and discipline and grow in love of the Lord.

Prayer: Lord, help me to love the correction that helps me to grow as a Christian. Help me to grow in love for you and your creation. I ask this in Jesus’ name. Amen

And so it was with me, brothers and sisters. When I came to you, I did not come with eloquence or human wisdom as I proclaimed to you the testimony about God.
