He Knows!

Scripture: “And you, my son Solomon, acknowledge the God of your father, and serve him with wholehearted devotion and with a willing mind, for the Lord searches every heart and understands every motive behind the thoughts. If you seek him, he will be found by you; but if you forsake him, he will reject you forever. 1 Chronicles 28:9 NIV

Observation: David is giving Solomon instruction as he anoints him king.

Application: “…for the Lord searches every heart and understands every motive behind the thoughts.” For those of us that think that we are really cleaver, we had better think again. God knows exactly what you are thinking, when you are thinking it, and what motivated the thought! He knows our hearts. He knows our motives. Always strive to make sure that your motives and thoughts are those that will honor God.

Prayer: Lord, I pray to always honor you. I know that I will fail at times but my wish is to have pure thoughts and intentions . I love you, you deserve that from me. I pray this in Jesus’ name. Amen
