Bear Much Fruit

Scripture: But Timothy has just now come to us from you and has brought good news about your faith and love. He has told us that you always have pleasant memories of us and that you long to see us, just as we also long to see you. Therefore, brothers, in all our distress and persecution we were encouraged about you because of your faith.  For now we really live, since you are standing firm in the Lord.  How can we thank God enough for you in return for all the joy we have in the presence of our God because of you?  1 Thessalonians 3:6-9 NIV

Observation: Paul expresses his joy at the continued faith of the Thessalonians.

Application: That is my desire. To be able to know that I have been able to help someone know the Lord and to see them bear fruit.  Sometimes life’s chaos gets to be overwhelming and we can lose sight of what is really important–that we share the Lord with others.  Paul knew what was important, sharing the Gospel, and in this passage he praises the Thessalonians for their acceptance and perseverance.  What a blessing.

Prayer: Father, I pray for seeds that have been sown.  I pray that they mature and bear much fruit. Seeing that would be a joy and a blessing. I pray this in Jesus’ name. Amen
