Don’t be Haughty

Scripture: You save the humble, but your eyes are on the haughty to bring them low. 2 Samuel 22:28 NIV

Observation: 2 Samuel 22 is a Psalm of praise from David to the Lord for his protection and deliverance.

Application: “So the last will be first, and the first will be last.” Matthew 20:16 NIV This is a theme throughout the bible. It’s Old Testament and it’s New Testament. I think it’s really a part of who God is. I believe that it would be better to be humble from the start than to allow God to humble you. Start by considering others before yourself.

Prayer: Father, help me to be humble and to consider others before me. I ask this in Jesus’ name. Amen

I love this article! It reminds me that we are all the same, and such as the scripture says, “The last shall be first and the first shall be last.” That’s my favorite scripture too. I will be sure to keep this prayer in mind as I charge forth throughout my days.

Life Scripture #2
