Scripture: “…for it is written: ‘I will strike the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock will be scattered.’ ”
Matthew 26:31b NIV
Observation: Jesus tells his disciples they will desert him.
Application: The apostles and the first Christians took Jesus’ message forth. What the religious leaders and the Romans meant for bad, Jesus crucifixion, God used for good. Once Jesus was gone the leaders knew that his followers would scatter. They didn’t figure on them taking Jesus’ message with them as they went. Isn’t that interesting? In the scattering–the church was born.
Prayer: Father, thank you for taking what was meant for evil and using it to grow the church. I ask that you use this blog to further your kingdom. I ask this in Jesus’ name. Amen
